Entrevennes...suite
Jean-Gilles Charvot

Entrevennes Suite was composed by the saxophonist Jean-Gilles Charvot, for a painting exhibition by his father Jean-Louis Charvot. Music and painting interacted there as two independent evocations of a little village in the south of France where the family have a house. Being a very important place for both father and son. Entrevennes inspired the two artists not only as a landscape, but also as part of a true live story.

Entrevennes Suite, the music, was recorded by the trio in one take, after a few hours' rehearsal. Entrevennes Suite, the painting exhibition, happened in Strasbourg (France) in 1988.
